Patricia Sutch

Patricia Sutch has been the Executive Director of WSSPC since August 1999. She is WSSPC's second Executive Director.  She organized the first National Earthquake Risk Management Conference held in Seattle, and the 2004 and 2008 National Earthquake Conferences.  In intervening years she organized smaller annual conferences in Sacramento, Denver, Portland, Boise, and Reno.  The 2009 Conference was held jointly with the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute in Salt Lake City, where she also served on the Program Committee.

 

Patti brings a wealth of relevant experience to WSSPC. She earned her B.A. degree in Earth Sciences and Anthropology from Case Western Reserve University and her M.S. degree in Engineering Geology (with a seismic hazard focus) from Stanford University. Patti has thirty years of experience in the geoscience field, non-profit organization management, and business administration.

 

Currently she is also Principal and President of REG Review, Inc., a company formed in 1985 to prepare geologists for the national ASBOG® geology licensing exam and California certification exams. She has been an active volunteer with the Association of Engineering and Environmental Geologists (AEG) and and the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI).  She is a California Professional Geologist, Certified Hydrogeologist, and Certified Engineering Geologist.

Amy Lewis

 

Amy Lewis has been the Program Manager for WSSPC since February 2008.  She brought to WSSPC her background in event planning and marketing as well as years of customer relations, supervisory and managerial experience.  Since her arrival she has assisted with the planning and execution of the 2008 and 2009 conferences, the management of the Awards in Excellence program, recruitment of Affiliate Members and the compilation of the 2007 and 2008 Annual Reports and quarterly eNewsletters. 

 

Amy has a B.A. degree in Government with an emphasis in International Relations from California State University Sacramento.  She has a passion for non-profit work and enjoys being a member of the WSSPC team.
